Steinbeis Transfer Center for Information Management, Medical and Cultural Heritage Informatics – IMCHI – provides specialist training courses and knowledge transfer in the fields of

• Content Engineering,
• Collection Management and
• Digitalisation.

Steinbeis Transfer Center IMCHI is one of the worldwide 1000 Transfer Centers of the decentralised Steinbeis Transfer network . Our main focus of attention is put on operational and scientific documentation and information systems, especially within the range of applications for the cultural heritage community.

Often it is neither possible to apply academic design methods and tools into practice nor are they applicable to software already existing. Therefore our research focuses on customized solutions, integration of standard components, and efficient and user friendly deployment of information systems.
Within information and function modelling particular attention is being paid to the use of international standards, and the interoperability of information systems.
